Business Writing, Technical Writing, and Typesetting
I am the sort of person that believes. I believe that stories are an elemental part of our psychology. Stories shape our lives, and our personal narrative can grow and shrink as we revise and expand our horizons. I think that we write ourselves in and out of each other’s lives, and in and out of the situations that crystalize who we think we are. I believe that shared narrative is the basis of all communication.
I can help your business through these beliefs by using the story of your business as the basis for all your business communication. I can use your business’s narrative–its history, values, and people–as the touchstones to build a real connection to the potential customers whose stories have common elements with your own. These are the people who are motivated to buy your product because they resonate with it.
I have been practicing the craft of writing since I was eight years old. The first story I wrote was about an elephant, and I illustrated it with an Ink-A-Dink-A-Do ™ stamp. From then on, I’ve never stopped writing, whether about fictional characters or how to set up an Internet router.
I can’t help it. It’s what I love to do.
I write on assignment and also for myself. If you are interested in my fiction writing, my more personal site is Oasis Stories. I also have entries there contemplating the metaphysical, and my thoughts about learning to live in a universe full of possibilities.
I live in San Diego, and I can’t imagine a place and a person getting on better than we do. I’ve also lived in: Portland, Oregon; on Florida’s panhandle; just outside D.C.; in NorCal; and I grew up in New England. I’ve traveled extensively though not yet to Asia, to my regret.
I know things always work out just as they should. At this very moment, our personal narratives have grown to include each other. There is a reason that you are reading this website. Whatsoever that reason is, I’m very glad you are here.
